Avigdor was an optics engineer, he ran a binocular repair and night vision factory in the army. After he passed away, children found boxes of spare parts for binoculars and devices for resetting night vision at his home.
Avigdor’s children sought to use these parts to create a commemoration in his memory, and this connects precisely with the recycling ideology of Oded who believes that nothing old should be thrown away, that everything is repairable or recyclable.
